Rémy Martin

The story of the House of Rémy Martin is the story of two families of five generations of winegrowers driven by the same ambition: to capture the heart of Cognac. It began in 1724 when a young winegrower from Cognac decided to sell the eponymous spirit under his own name and it runs through three centuries of men and women—an astronomer a lawyer a lover of poetry an explorer—who dared not only to envision the house's future but to respect its past. Their loyalty to our heritage and craftsmanship coupled with their quest for excellence have allowed a tiny piece of French terroir savoir-faire and joie de vivre to conquer the world. Today it is one of the "big four" Cognac house and best known for producing some of the world's best Fine Champagne Cognac (a blend of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne spirit - the two premier appellations in the Cognac region). To produce their Cognac Rémy Martin uses an exclusive blend of grapes made up of 97% Ugni Blanc and Colombard with the remainder being the spicy robust Folle Blanche grape.
Dominant notes of vanilla thanks to longer aging in French Limousin oak barrels, followed by ripe apricot, baked apple, and an elegant floral note. A perfect harmony between the firm character of ripe fruit and subtle notes of liquorice, offering a great complexity of elegant and powerful aromas.Well-balanced, structured, and multi-layered. The roundness and fruity notes are enhanced by a one-year finishing period in small oak casks of over 20 years of age.
Serve as it comes! Great for after dinner sipping.
