Jura Whisky

The Isle of Jura is nestled off the West Coast of Scotland. With one road, one distillery, one pub, one shop and one community it has often been described as remote! In 1963 Jura rebuilt a derelict distillery on the remote island beside a giant whirlpool which helped revive a community and launched a legend. Ever since Jura Whisky have been using their incredibly tall stills to create a uniquely crafted mix of whiskies that set them apart from all other distilleries. From sweet and mellow to rich and smoky they are sure to have a whisky that suits the most discerning full bodied fanatic or peat freak.
The colour is pale yellow straw with subtle green tinges. Full rich and aromatic on the nose. Positive and firm. Silky almondy wood notes complete this outstanding bouquet. Drifts gently onto the palate revealing firm distinguished elegant tones. A fruity oiliness with just a hint of smoke gently enriches the palate. These intricate attractive flavours linger long in the mouth and reflect the true nature of the island.
Pair it with scallops au gratin lemon sultana pudding Scottish brie and white chocolate.
