DGB (Pty) Ltd
DGB(Pty)Ltd was formally established in 1990, although their true roots extend over 300 years when winemaking began at the Boschendal and Bellingham farms in the Cape Winelands. In fact, they were already doing things a little differently in the 1940’s when Douglas Green pioneered the wholesale sales model for wine in Paarl.
Today, they are one of South Arica's largest independent wine and spirit producers and distributors, with a state of the art cellar and bottling facility in Wellington.
Tasting Notes
A lively green colour with a straw tinger. On the palate full ripe peach and melon flavours. Medium bodied, clean finish, fresh fruit acid from the Colombard. Ripe peach and white pear on the nose.
Food Matches
Deliciously served chilled on its own or accompanied with almost any fish or seafood, roast chicken pie, creamy pasta or soft white cheese
Vinification
Each varietal was vinified separately and innoculated with yeast during the fermentation process. Once fermentation was completed, the wine was blended
