Château Fuissé
This is undoubtedly the aristocratic domaine of Fuissé. Now under the control of brother and sister, Antoine Vincent and Bénédicte Tuinder-Vincent, son and daughter of Jean-Jacques Vincent. Whilst Antoine is now the winemaker at this great property, his sister runs the commercial side along with her husband, Philip Tuinder.
The domaine holds 30ha of vines in total, in Pouilly-Fuissé, St Veran, Macon and Julienas. The wines are epitomized by fat, rich fruit, whose weight is perfectly balanced with a consistently outstanding backbone of tight acidity.
Tasting Notes
subtle, elegant and polished, showing roasted
nut, butter, dessert apple, white peach and some stony
minerality. Acidity is marked – fresh and cleansing, adding
tension and vibrancy to the wine. Long, lingering and
powerful finish.
Vinification
Fermented in tank, then 65% oak aged, with 20% new oak.
