Château Corbin

Overlooking both Cheval Blanc and Pétrus, this is a beautifully located, family owned château that produces outstanding, affordable claret. It is one of the oldest properties in Montagne which in itself is the smallest appellation in the Bordeaux region with only 18 growers. Dating back to the 16th Century the property has 23ha of vines that surround the Château. Jacques Rambaud took over from his father in 2005.
Aged in 60% old barrels and 40% in tank. Jacques marvelled at the quality level of his Cabernet Sauvingon this year. “ The best I have ever seen”. This is an immensely rich Corbin, with stewed prunes and ripe plums dominating the palate. The tannins are so succulent. This is so gluggable!
Pair with classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes.
Aged in 60% old barrels and 40% in tank.
