Pikes

Winemaker Neil Pike and his viticulturist brother, Andrew, created Pikes Winery in the Clare Valley back in 1984. Seizing the opportunity to create aromatic, fresh, cool-fruited wines in a distinctly European mould, the Pikes’ true success lies in a benchmark pairing of Riesling cuvées, the outstanding cuvée Traditionale and profoundly complex single vineyard The Merle.

Tasting Notes

James Suckling – June 27, 2019 – 90 points: “This has a mellow, blueberry, plum and old-wood spice style that really beckons for the barbecue and casual drinking. The palate is very smooth, succulent and easy with a fresh, glossy, red-fruit core.”
