"I’m writing this from my desk in Padstow with a view across the Camel estuary, the tide is in and on the far side of the water I can see the Porthilly oyster baskets. I’m salivating for my favourite food and wine match: Muscadet and oysters. It's matrimony like no other. Muscadet is a wine that has a real buzz, a sort of electric shock of a wine, dancing with fresh acidity and saline citrus fruit. When teamed with those gorgeously briny, salty, metallic fruits of the sea you get the perfect combo – a firework of flavour. I’ve tasted a lot of Muscadet in my time, and this Abstraction is one of the best, at a good price too. If oysters aren’t your thing, I'll let you in on a secret – when oysters aren't to hand, it's my go-to wine for a Deliveroo sushi and sashimi plate." GQ Magazine, Charlie Stein, April 2021.
