Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

A very severe selection for the first wine has resulted in a leap in quality for the second wine at this Château. The grapes for this wine come from the central part of the St Julien commune. A super second wine from a "super second" Classed Growth property.

Deeply coloured , a super fragrant bouquet, and a serious core of concentrated and creamy black fruits. Myrtle, ironstone and coffee are encased in a band of sweet oak that slips away to reveal a finish of velvet-like sweetness and delicacy. A great claret that will give excellent drinking.

Enjoy with roast ribs of beef and yorkshire pudding with a horseradish, crème fraiche and mustard sauce.
