Co-founder Patrick spent several years living and working in Russia, where he fell in love with the fascinating world of vodka-distilling. Having worked in Ireland in the whiskey business, making vodka felt like a natural step. In Russian, 'ishka' is a suffix that expresses endearment and closeness.
This is a vodka made to bring people together. Funnily enough, in old Irish, distilled spirit was known as uisce beatha (‘ish-ka ba-ha’)...the water of life. The founders are vodka sipping surfers, ocean lovers and water fanatics. They are bringing the art of vodka making back to its roots, with a focus on great-quality locally sourced ingredients, Russian mastery in the science of distillation and incredibly good water.
A crisp freshness on the palate with hints of citrus. Leading to a smooth finish.
Best served neat.
