Domaine of the Bee

Domaine of the Bee is a tiny patch of vineyards near ancient Maury, in the Roussillon, owned by Justin Howard-Sneyd MW, his wife Amanda, and their friend Philippe Sacerdot. Justin’s day job is in the wine trade in London, but his real passion is making award-winning wine from the insanely low yielding old vines in this exciting region. Domaine of the Bee produces between 2,000-5,000 bottles per year from hand-picked Carignan and Grenache grapes.

Tasting Notes

On the nose there are aromas of dried black fruits, liqourice, mineral notes and warm spices. The palate is big, intense and bold, but not overpowering; The fruit intensity of the wine and the body are in perfect balance. A superb red that shows of the terroir of the region.

Food Matches

Great with grilled red meat, hearty stews and barbequed food.
