Condrieu, M. Chapoutier

CONU020
Fresh, beautiful citrusy lemon and floral notes dominate the bouquet. The palate is full of white fleshy fruit, persistent in flavour and finely balanced with a tangy tartness on the finish.

M. Chapoutier

For the last two hundred years in the Rhone Valley, and today also in the Roussillon and in Australia, Chapoutier has been producing some of the greatest wines: Hermitage, Côte Rôtie, Chateauneuf du Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes Hermitage, Luberon. Michel Chapoutier is one of the most highly regarded winemakers in France. Since taking over his family firm in 1990 at age 26, Michel Chapoutier has transformed the winery into the leading Rhône Valley producer. He combines the modern and the traditional: crusading for biodynamic winemaking, while expanding operations around the globe and experimenting with cutting edge winemaking techniques.

Tasting Notes

Deep gold, golden yellow with a greenish tint. Very fruity on the nose with exotic fruit (pineapple, lichee) andacacia flower and a hint of smoke brought by the oak. The palate is very well balanced, full, with a nice fresness which gives a great elegance to this wine.

Food Matches

A great wine with pork strogonoff.
