This is a family firm in the beautiful south eastern corner of Tuscany - in the district known as 'Colli Senesi' (the hills of Siena) - near the town of Montepulciano, the home of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Some of their best vineyards are within the latter appellation, the rest lying in the rolling hills below the imposing Monte Cetona mountain. The EGT winery was founded in 1978 and is now a dynamic modern winery which exports all over the world. A continuing programme of investment in equipment, space and above all - people - is the secret behind the impressive improvement in quality, value-for-money and consequent rapid growth in the last few year
Red in colour with purple hues. The bouquet is intensely vinous with notes of forest berries, cherries, violets and spicy scents. The easy and charming character of this wine is the result of the smooth and fresh texture deriving from the mid-structured tannins and the natural acidity of the grapes.
Ideal as an accompaniment to white meat and cheese.
Traditional Tusan fermentation at controlled temperature for 8 - 10 days on grapes skins.
