Château Moulin de Mallet

Château Moulin de Mallet is situated in the commune of Pujols just south of Saint-Emilion. This plateau was originally dotted with windmills (Moulin) one of which forms the Château which is home to the Couderc family. The estate has been in the same family since 1898 and through five generations. Serge Couderc and his son Julien, a qualified viticulturist and oenologist, have overseen a complete modernisation of this property.

Tasting Notes

A wine of character with its sustained ruby-red colour, purple tints and red fruit aromas (strawberry, raspberry) with discreet hints of spice. Perceptibly tannic but not overly so, the dense, chewy palate delivers an impression of smoothness. Long, balanced finish.

Food Matches

Serve at 17° - 19°C with red meat and blue cheese.
