Owned by the Borie family, this 45-hectare property has a reputation for producing
excellent, full-bodied Pauillac.
The colour and bouquet are textbook Pauillac - powerful, dark and robust, with an intensity and focus that puts this above it's 5th growth status. Brimming with stewed cassis, a touch of black olive, ironstone and gun smoke, with cedar and forest floor characters all in the mix. Succulent, yet with balancing freshness and a gentleness that is almost beguiling. The tannins develop later in the glass, hinting at long life. This could be a sleeper of the vintage.
Vinification is carried out in temperature controlled, stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in 75% new oak barrels for 18 months
