This renowned property was included in the new Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel classification in 2003, and rightly so as many think it worthy of Cru Classé status. It is always extremely popular with our En Primeur buyers as it provides terrific drinking at a relatively sensible price. Produced from a yield of 50hl/ha, this is a lovely wine.
A very impressive Chasse Spleen, displaying ripe cassis fruits, chocolate, walnuts and dried tobacco. The palate is finely balanced with good freshness. Finely polished, this is a wine of great finesse.
The vinification is carried out in stainless steel thermoregulated tanks and cement or resin-coated epoxy . The maceration lasts about a month. 18 months in 45% annually renewed oak barrels.
