A good-value lower-strength cassis from Briottet. The company was founded by James Demontry in 1836 and taken over by Edmond Briottet in the 20th century, whose family ownership it remains in today after almost six generations.

Maison Briottet

A former wine establishment Briottet was set up in 1836. Given the growing popularity of the "white wine-cassis" aperitif Edmond Briottet little by little stopped operating as a wine trader and instead switched over gradually to producing Crème de Cassis. Since then each successive generation of the Briottet family has worked at the firm.
A complex nose, subtle with fresh fruit aromas. Rich in the mouth with a bitter note, a pleasant liveliness, and an intense fruity finish.
Most widely used as a mix with white wine, champagne or dry vermouth.
