Exotic, yeasty and finely balanced nose, showing notes of some tropical pear, apple and mango, balanced by wet stones and a steely undertone. The palate is fresh, immediate and linear – poised on a razor edge of acidity and green herbal leaf, rounded out by stewed apple and bread yeast. The 1/3rd oak (with no new wood) is present, but never overpowers the wine and this freshness and added texture creates tension in the wine and the impression of power and subtlety. This is a baby Chassagne Montrachet!
