Pazos de Lusco
Pazos de Lusco is one of the most renowned wineries of the Rías Baixas D.O. (Denomination of Origin, or certified wine-growing region), its renown sweeping across the rest of Spain after discovering its white wines to be one of Galicia's treasures.
Lusco is a clear, bright, straw yellow. The nose is clean, with pronounced intensity. The dominant aromas are of ripe fruit, particularly Golden Delicious apple, and white flowers. The wine displays distinct mineral notes, derived from the decomposed granite soil the vines are grown in and, because no commercial yeasts are added, it is very expressive of the grape variety. On the palate, acidity and alcohol are remarkably well balanced. The wine reveals an interesting note of citrus, is structured on the palate and displays hints of butter as a result of being aged on its lees.
Try with a grilled chicken breast with Piri-Piri sauce.
