Luc Pouillain purchased the 16 hectare Domaine des Echardières in 2000 from one of the many divisions of the local Launay clan. The cellars are located in the village of Angé, whilst the vines are located on what is referred to as the Premier Côte between Angé and the neighbouring commune of Pouillé. Split almost equally white and red, there are seven hectares of Sauvignon, planted on two different soil types, flint and limestone, which are vinified apart.
